Marcela is a seasoned commercial, corporate and technology lawyer. For over a decade, she has advised multinational companies from several sectors, including technology, media, advertising, communications, pharmaceuticals, mining, and oil, among other in connection with complex contracts, negotiations, restructuring, government procurement and regulatory advice.
Marcela is also a devoted short story and poetry writer and is aiming to publish soon. She is also a competitive long-distance runner and an amateur boxer.

- Lead all Pro Bono matters within Baker & McKenzie as part of the Pro Bono Committee in Bogotá and coordination with large Pro Bono entities such as TrustLaw and the Pro Bono Foundation. The Firm was nominated by TrustLaw as International Firm of the Year in 2022.
- Supported the management of multiple projects among various jurisdictions in Latin America and the United States.
- Created effective and efficient plans for the execution of ongoing large and multijurisdictional projects in Latin America and the United States.
